The Graduate Credit Quest program has been developed to help Wisconsin teachers earn the necessary credentials to begin and to continue teaching college credit courses in their high school.

The Higher Learning Commission (HLC), the accreditation body for public and private colleges and universities, has implemented a policy that requires high school teachers who teach General Studies college credit courses to have a Master’s Degree in the discipline they teach, or a Master’s Degree in a related discipline and 18 graduate credits in the discipline they teach.

High school teachers must have these credentials by 2022.
